Eligibility

Applicant must be a national of 192 Countries eligible under the Pakistan Online Visa System, with verifiable mountaineering experience.

Important Notes

  • In visa application, under "Purpose of Visit" - Mention the specific mountain from the approved list which you intend to climb.
  • Your Sponsor/Host/Agreement must be with a tour operator authorized by the DTS for mountaineering expeditions.
  • Peak royalty fees vary depending on the mountain and season.
  • If application is sent Back for Review, processing time will restart from re-submission date.
  • Application will be cancelled if not resubmitted within 7 days of review request.
  • Plan your expedition only after receiving the Visa Grant Notice and peak permits.
  • Mountaineering season regulations strictly apply (May-September).

Trekking Visa

Explore the breathtaking valleys and trails of Gilgit-Baltistan. The trekking visa allows you to undertake extended trekking activities in approved zones.

  • A registered local guide or DTS authorized tour operator is highly recommended.
  • Restricted military zones require separate NOCs (No Objection Certificates).

  • Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from a host is required.
  • Can be extended locally through the e-Visa portal if needed.
